Lofty thoughts

For a few years now Jon and I have been creating an imaginary list of all that we want to do when we finally have a decent income. We've been watching every cent for our entire marriage while Jon's been going through school and we've been pratically living off of school loans and a part-time Pharmacy Intern salary. Anyway I thought it would be fun to finally put the list into writing since I've been threatening to do so for a while now. It's become more of a joke over time (with the addition of two babies in our little family).

When Jon's a Pharmacist we'll...

1. set up a full recording studio for Jon, a full room just for his guitars
2. add on a craft room for me
3. go green
4. give to charities
5. have more children
6. pay back everyone we have ever borrowed money from starting from elementary school
7. build our DREAM home
8. sell all of our clothing, and buy NEW
9. take weekend trips
10. go on an exotic vacation
11. buy NEW cars
12. NEVER worry about money
13. NEVER think about money
14. get our teeth whitened
15. get laser eye surgery
16. DO NONE OF THE ABOVE!! WE HAVE TWO CHILDREN, AND ONLY ONE PHARMACIST SALARY!

HERE'S THE REAL LIST:
1. set up two college funds
2. buy a previously owned minivan
3. give to school fundraisers
4. buy a forclosed home that includes a bonus room for all the toys
5. enroll both children in a private preschool
6. include Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, birthday parties and the tooth fairy for two in our budget
7. go to disney world to meet all the princesses
9. get the kids' braces
10. get the kids' glasses
11. put Kristi back in school for a second income!
