Let her voice be heard!

While driving in the car I popped in a tape of Mae's children's songs to keep her entertained. We had not listened to those particular songs in a month or more, so Jon and I were surprised when she started singing along. "A,B,C,D,E,F,G..." she sang every word and hummed every note to every song. Jon and I looked over at each other, simply amazed and a little shocked. In my opinion, Mae has been a little slow to develop verbally. Finally she has decided that it is time for her to express aloud many of the words she has been learning silently for two years. She has been retaining all the information, and now she is finally singing and telling us stories. She is eager to learn and eager to give you her opinion on everything. She definitely has a mind of her own, and now she has a voice to go along with it!
